Jeep has today announced the launch of its 2016 Ultimate Renegades online video campaign.
The creative concept, the video production and campaign management is being handled by Factory Media. The activity will run from August until October. Chorus, the specialist partnerships division at Maxus, has created and is managing the relationships between Jeep UK and Factory Media and all parties involved in the ‘Ultimate Renegades’ project.
Ultimate Renegades will showcase the new Jeep Renegade in all its glory, alongside some of the most pivotal and inspirational renegades who challenge the status quo from within the worlds of surfing and mountain biking, all presented by extreme sports presenters Tim Warwood and Adam Gendle.
Ultimate Renegades will feature surfing and mountain biking with each sport having a 7 minute film, a one minute behind the scenes film as well as a series of 15-30 second teaser videos running on social media. The content will also be published on a dedicated Jeep hub on Factory Media owned action sports channels mpora.com, dirtmountainbike.com & surfeuropemag.com.
Ultimate Renegades follows on from 2014’s successful Original Freedom campaign created with the same partners, which showcased the Jeep Wrangler through a series of road trips and sports edits from professional snowboarders and pro surfers published on mpora.com
Ian Gunner, creative director at Factory Media, said:
“We are delighted to announce our most recent partnership with Jeep UK and more specifically the new Renegade. With the overarching theme of the project to shine a light on the ultimate renegades within action sports; past, present and future, this campaign compliments both parties so well. The content created will resonate with our huge audiences and we are excited to see the final edits.”
Nikki Austen, Brand Communications Manager at Jeep said, “Jeep have inspired adventure for over 75 years. Mountain biking and Surfing are two sports which fit well with Jeep’s heritage and with our sponsorship of the World Surfing League and Trek Factory Racing Team. This latest campaign helps showcase the maverick personality and authentic capability of the awarding winning Jeep Renegade. Our vehicles are driven by extreme sports personalities, active lifestylers and anybody who has a desire for everyday adventure.”
Saj Nazir, head of Chorus at Maxus, added: “This dynamic marriage of the Jeep brand with ambitious renegades from the extreme sporting world, including the Athertons and big wave surfer Andrew Cotton, perfectly encapsulates the energy of the new Jeep Renegade.
“Factory Media’s expertise within adventure sports meant that they were the perfect media partner for Ultimate Renegades. The second year of Factory Media’s partnership with Jeep will build on the vigour of previous activity, with a focus on fresh, high adrenaline content that delivers on Jeep’s values of being innovative, maverick and doing things differently.”
