Ten years is a long time, things change, disappear and reappear all while we go about our day to day business. Over this time a number things we took (or still take) for granted have taken shape in varying different forms for better or in some cases for worse.
This was happening ten years ago…
Myspace was being toppled by some whippersnapper called Facebook (but Tom was still your friend)
Mobile phones flipped open
You could watch really poor quality videos on your iPod
Livestrong bracelets adorned many a wrist
Sven Goren Eriksson quit as England manager, but all was ok because Steve McClaren took over
Richard Hammond crashed a car
007 stars in Casino Royale
Gwen Stefani topped the charts (and liked B.A.N.A.N.A.S)
Everyone wished they lived in The OC
Jason Lee the pro skateboarder was more commonly known as Earl
Tony Blair was making the big decisions
V for Vendetta shook our screens (and mask merchandise went through the roof)
Britney split from K-Fed
Twitter was launched
Kate Moss & Pete Docherty were constantly smashed
Hannah Montana debuted
Steve Irwin wrestled his last crocodile (and stingray)
And hands up who had a pair of Heelys….. (erm!!!)
…and on Dec 1st, 2006 Factory Media was born.
