MPORA.TV is the latest addition to Perform’s e-Player
Mpora and Perform, the digital sport and entertainment specialist, today launched a new channel for e-Player, the free-to-view multi-channel video player, which delivers premium sports highlights and video clips across the web.
From this week e-Player viewers will be able to access for free MPORA.TV, broadcasting live and with the hottest highlights from extreme sports and mainstream events such as the British Motocross Series, UCI Mountain Bike Series and TTR Snowboard Series.
e-Player is currently available across a number of leading digital publishers including News International, The Telegraph, Daily Mail, Johnston Press and Trinity Mirror. Reaching an audience of 15 million unique users with over 20 million video plays per month, e-Player offers great sport content for consumers and a huge opportunity for advertisers.
Perform and Virgin Media launched e-Player in August and this new channel will sit alongside selected highlights from Virgin Media’s Barclays Premier League and Coca-Cola Football League match content, as well as a portfolio of premium sports channels from Perform’s Omnisport.tv brand, including European Football Leagues and international football plus tennis, golf, rugby, cricket, darts and basketball content.
Darryl Newton, Managing Director of Factory Media said “MPORA.TV’s exclusive relationship with Perform is an exciting step in servicing the ever growing demand for Extreme sports content to a wider audience. MPORA.TV already delivers 500,000 video streams per month - with Perform’s network we aim to double that. The recent RipCurl Newquay Boardmasters surfing event saw an average viewing time of 29 minutes which is longer than most prime time terrestrial TV programs. We also are developing similar exclusive strategies with other European partners to coincide with a multi-lingual roll-out later this year”
