Dirt Mountainbike Magazine is seeking a professional and enthusiastic Website Editor to produce and manage a stimulating mix of gravity focused content from the UK and beyond. You will ensure the website is updated on a daily basis and refreshed with dynamic high quality content, making Dirt the leading site in its field.
What you will actually do:
• Produce and circulate both long term and weekly editorial plans to the publisher and advertising team
• Post at least 5 editorial pieces on average per working day
• Supply content that optimises the time each user spends visiting the site
• Ensure that video content is delivered effectively and is of high quality
• Produce news and feature articles that are optimised for search queries
• Monitor and participate in the site’s forums
• Produce high quality newsletters to registered users
• Liaise/recruit/monitor the quality of bloggers
• Commission content from freelance journalists within agreed online budgets
• Assist with updating advertiser micro–sites where required
• Work with the sales team to represent Dirt to advertisers
What you will need:
• Strong attention to detail
• Effective time management and strong organisational skills
• A thorough understanding of the target market and their online media behaviour
• Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
• Must have a high degree of proficiency with Gmail, Twitter, Facebook and other social media products
• A knowledge of the Adobe Suite for both video and photography
• Some degree of familiarity with web development and other digital content related applications
• You must be eager to learn and relish a challenge
• The ability to innovate and come up with new ideas that will benefit the long-term success of the website
• Must be able to work independently, using own initiative as well as working as part of a wider team
• Good problem solving skills

As a Business Development Director you will be responsible for Factory Media’s new ‘agency’, which will involve pitching to clients, creative agencies, production agencies and marketing & PR companies to secure new revenue streams.
What you will actually do:
• Present and deliver an annual new business strategy for the agency
• Communicate a clear understanding of where Factory Media ‘Agency’ can add optimum value to the client marketing mix

You will be responsible for achieving the advertising budgets that are set within the Boardsports market. This will mean you being heavily involved in the direct sales process, handling a portfolio of key clients that will most impact our business whilst managing the sales team to achieve the plan.
What you will actually do:
Deliver the annual advertising strategy for the Boardsports market to optimise print and online revenues
· Effectively communicate Factory Media’s development plan and ambitions in both online and print to benefit the Boardsports market
· Develop Magazine advertising revenues through appropriate mailing, telephone and face to face marketing of the product to:
1. Clients who advertise but don’t currently do any business with us
2. Clients where we can grow our market share of their ad business
3. Clients who don’t advertise in the market at all
· Ensure the database of existing and prospective advertisers with brands, contact names, mailing address, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, websites etc are kept up to date by the teams at all times
· Deliver weekly Factory Media sales reports including prospects, bookings, meetings made and meetings coming up
· Monitor call and meeting rates to achieve the required results
· Represent Factory Media at all appropriate trade events
· Ensure editorial plans developed by the Editors are used to sell in future issues
What you will need:
· 3-4 years media sales experience
· A good understanding of the Boardsports market
· The ability to drive online ad revenues
· The ability to manage and motivate a team
· Proven track record in identifying and building new opportunities
